CHARLES MONTS
Charles Monts has more than 35 years of experience in strategic
planning, project management, data base management systems,
local and wide area networks, system life cycle management, and
configuration management. This experience has been within the
Government, Military and Financial and Association Communities.
Currently Mr. Monts is the Senior Vice-President for Commercial
Software Development for New Age Systems, Inc.
Prior experience has involved Mr. Monts in the design,
development and implementation of large-scale computer systems.
His experience has included the daily operations of MIS
departments as well as the management of fixed price, time and
material, and cost plus contracts. He served as a member of a
management team that planned, organized and completed the merger
of two major leasing companies. In addition, he has extensive
experience in the critical areas of Asset Management, Lease
Accounting, Billing/Invoicing, General Ledger, Accounts
Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Tax Accounting.
Within the Association Community, Mr. Monts has had
responsibility for planning, budgeting and implementing
hardware, software and data communications solutions required to
support both short and long term goals and objectives. Systems
supported included Order Processing, Inventory Control,
Subscription Fulfillment & Ad Management, Accounting,
Membership, Fund Raising, Facility Management and Convention and
Meeting Services.
Mr. Monts is currently a member of the Executive Board, National
Capital Area Council, Boy Scouts of America; the Chairman of the
George Mason District, NCAC/BSA (the Fairfax/Vienna/Falls Church
communities); Member of the Board of Directors of New Age
Systems, Inc., and a Member of the Board of the Children’s
Museum of Northern Virginia.
Since 1993, Mr. Monts has served the NCAC/BSA in several
positions including: the District Vice-Chair for Program and the
Training Chair for the George Mason District; the Membership
Chair, Activity Chair, and Cub Scout Training Chair for the
Powhatan District. From 1983 to 1993 he was a member of the
Super Ball Committee, raising funds through its annual black-tie
event for the D.C. Society for Crippled Children. |
